What's the destination they should go?
Water falls : Klong Chao Waterfall is particularly spectacular. This glorious waterfall brims with glittering water all year round, superb for soaking and swimming. It was once visited by King Mongkut (King Rama VI) and was given the royal name 'Anamkok Waterfall' in commemoration to Ong Chiang Lue, a Vietnamese king taking refuge in the Kingdom of Thailand during the reign of King Rama I in the late 18th century. Slightly smaller but equally enchanting is the Klong Yai Ki waterfall.
Coastal road + Aow Yai : The Coastal road runs from the activities center down the west side of the island round to the south of the island then cuts across the island and through the jungle and ends up in Aow Yai. The road is a mixture of dirt paths, rocky roads and new concrete which makes this an exciting and entertaining route for our mountain bike and motorcycle customers. This route takes you past Bang Bao and the pristine Siam beach which everyone is tempted to swim in. The road takes you down to another beautiful beach called Klong Hin, this is where the coastal path starts. The path is perched halfway up the cliff to give you a dazzling view of the beaches and on a clear day you can see Cambodia. This cliff edge path takes you down to a small fishing village with a stunning beach called Baan Aow Pharo. At Baan Aow Pharo you start to head inland and through many palm oil plants (fields of tall coconut trees) and rubber plantations before plunging you deep into the jungle and across the island to your final destination of the fishing village of Aow Yai where you can relax, buy fresh fish and watch the locals at work.
Beaches : Aow Pharo, Bang Bao and Siam Beach are possibly some of the most pristine and secluded beaches you will see in the gulf of Thailand.
Trekking : The Hub Activity Center at Away Resort runs a guided trek up to the Waterfall.
The fishing trip is conducted with a local fisherman who takes you for the whole day fishing on his traditional Thai wooden fishing boat. Water and meals are included in this trip.
Because Koh Kood and the surrounding seas are not prone to huge commercial fishing operations there are a wealth of fish to be caught. Our customers often bring back large sacks of fish and donate them to our resort staff.
